Disneyquest not closing down?
Tomsey over at the forums posted a question about Disneyquest closing down.
This is something that I had heard about from several sources but I decided to go straight to Disney for an answer to this question.
The
2 cast members that I spoke to told me that there are no plans to close down Disneyquest and that is a 100% rumor. In fact they are
still selling the annual passes for Disneyquest. Now, how true this is, I don't know. It could be that the cast member is telling
me what Disney is allowing them to say or even that the cast member simply hasn't heard anything about it closing.
Or it's very possible
that Disneyquest could be staying open. This is somewhat good news for all fans of Disneyquest and we'll be sure to keep our ears
open for more news regarding Disneyquest.

What is Mousefest?
Mousefest is a gathering of
Disney fans from all over the world to get together and socialize, have events, and meets.
How should you go about booking a
resort for Mousefest?
The resort that you should stay in depends on the individual going to Mousefest. Many people attend so
many meets and events that they really don't spend any time at all inside their hotel except to sleep. If this is you, the you should
probably consider a value resort and just get the cheapest rate possible. Another aspect to consider would be to possibly pay a little
more and stay at a Deluxe resort on the monorail line or at an Epcot resort for quick access to the parks.
However, if you're
someone that may be spending some time at the resort or perhaps going with other family members that might need to be entertained
beyond Mousefest meets and events then you may want to consider spending a little extra money and staying at a Moderate or a Deluxe
Resort for added comfortability. If you still choose to stay at a Value resort I would definitely recommend Pop Century as it is the
newest of the Value resorts and (in my opinion) themed better than some of the other Value resorts.
What is the Mega Mouse Meet?
The
Maga Mouse Meet is sort of the pinnacle of Mousefest and occurs usually on Saturdays in the middle of the Land portion of Mousefest
at the Swan and Dolphin.This is where all of your favorite authors, podcasters, web site owners and more are all gathered together
in one room and it's a great way to meet everyone in one place. They have recently started selling merchandise at the Mega Mouse Meet
as well so this is also a great place to pick up Disney merchandise.
