Many changes, refurbs, and even a closing in Walt Disney World

A lot of changes are coming to various parks and resorts throughout Walt Disney World. Here's what you can expect to find around property.

Magic Kingdom
Country Bear Jamboree is set for a refurbishment, closing September 28, 2008 to October 31, 2008. No information yet on what the refurbishment entails.

Disney's Hollywood Studios
To make way for the new show, High School Musical 2: School’s Out! will have its final performance on September 13, 2008 and will be replaced with High School Musical 3: Senior Year, with the new show opening on October 24, 2008.

Toy Story Mania! has now been added to both the morning and evening Extra Magic Hour times guides at the Studios.

Animal Kingdom
Pocahontas and Her Forest Friends at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close on September 27, 2008. Pocahontas will still be doing meet and greets at Planet Watch and the Main Entrance.

Primeval Whirl is closed for refurbishment from September 2, 2008 to November 15, 2008

Typhoon Lagoon
Surfing classes and private surf events have been cancelled from July 10 2008 until after the main Typhoon Lagoon refurbishment later this year, with classes resuming in 2009. The wave pool will remain in operation for guests during normal operating hours.

Resorts
In the coming weeks, The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are set to be repositioned in the Moderate Resort category. When making reservations online or via phone, the Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will be listed along with the other moderate resorts.

The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort will continue to operate as normal.
